Part 1: Geography & the 'Good' Guys

In this episode, we start with a brief description of Warhammer and the World of Warhammer. Dhar give us a whistlestop tour of the entire world of Warhammer and looks at some of the factions not included within the game… for some reason, which Dhar keeps saying has to do with “context”. We head in the standard four directions and highlight the factional homes of many races. In the back half of the episode, we examine the “good” cultures of the Old World

  • The Teuto-Steam-Arcane-punk Empire of Man
  • The not-at-all plagiarised Kingdom of Bretonnia
  • The redoubtable and correctly spelled Dwarfs of the Karak Ankor
  • The arboreal psychopath Elves of Athel Lothern
  • The pretentious always right foppish dandies of the High Elf outposts.

Part 2: History & The 'Bad' Guys

EVIL! Mwhahaha… We start part two with a dive into the four “evil” races available at the launch of the Old World;

  • The skeletal Pharaonic dead of the Tomb Kings of Khemri,
  • The ‘roided up family of football hooligans that are the Orcs and Goblins,
  • The folklore terror and true children of chaos the Beastmen Brayherds,
  • The corrupted He-men, bondage, Super-Vikings of the Warriors of Chaos.

We then take a quick swerve into the cosmology of the world of Warhammer before settling in for a brief look at the major events of the century within which Warhammer The Old World is set. We then round out this part of the rerelease primer with a chat on what we are most looking forward to.
